Summer in BC...

Although summer does not officially start until June 21, these past two nice sunny weekends really gave me the opportunity to bask in the sun and enjoy the summer in our beautiful city. What makes it amazing are the scenic points that can be found just in the city of Vancouver, and there's still so much more elsewhere in BC.

So far I've enjoyed the following:
- hiking in Squamish with an amazing view at the top of the First Peak at the Stawamus Chief
- hiking the Baden Powell trail in Deep Cove two weekends in a row and enjoying the Deep Cove views from the hike
- playing tennis and sweating only after 5 minutes of play!
- rollerblading around False Creek along the water and English Bay, enjoying the sunshine and people watching on the beach
- sitting on the patio of Red Robins and drinking ice cold raspberry limeades...yum :)
- evening sunset, with temperatures of 20 degrees, as well as sitting at 11pm at English Bay just enjoying the view and the non-freezing weather
- at 9pm still feel like it's only 6pm!

What else I would like to do to enjoy this beautiful weather we have here this summer:
- more rollerblading and hiking!
- Whistler weekend getaway...perhaps hike around there and spend some time in the village...
- Victoria - walk around the Inner Harbour watching the buskers and tourists - walking around Ocean Pointe - sitting at Ocean Pointe and looking over at the serene beauty of the Parliament Buildings and the Empress at night
- sitting on the patio and drinking a nice cool beverage on a hot sweltering day...
- BBQ!
- throwing the disc around on the beach...
- camping out at the beach for a day waiting to watch the fireworks at night at English Bay.
- making a trip to Tofino to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Pacific Ocean...

Alright, who doesn't love summer in BC??!
