About Summer...

Listening to: Breathe, Michelle Branch
Thinking about: when I can go home so I can rest up...

So I've been told by Joyce that I haven't blogged lately, and I think she's the only one that notices...but it's ok, since blogging for me is generally like a stress relief. I like to blog when I want to clear my mind of what's been happening, but I know if I've set up the blog, I should blog more often, for the entertainment of others.

This summer seems to be the dullest of most summers I've had. In particular, I think the reason is that summers used to mean vacation breaks, enjoying the nice summer weather, both of which I have yet to enjoy this year. Because I only started my job in the middle of May, there will be no special vacation this summer. No exotic trips or even side trips except maybe weekend trips back to Victoria or even up to Kelowna (I'm still crossing my fingers and hoping...). August is a busy month as Sex in Vancouver: Intimate Secrets runs from the 5 until the 20th, so there goes most of my month. Besides, the weather hasn't been the best for summer weather since we've experienced lots of rain this year as to date. Rain rain go away, come again another day.

Although, I do have a few highlights as to date of my summer:
1) Ultimate - we're winning and doing well in Div 6 on Thursday evenings
2) James and I got to go to Kits beach last weekend and do some throwing and watched the sunset (sort of, since we left while it was setting)
3) Bought a bike off of Vicky so been taking it out for a ride, but hope the weather gets better or else it'll be in the garage...plus I'm waiting to use my new helmet if the weather was nicer!
4) Canada Day got to enjoy some nice bands at Granville Island playing jazz...there was a band called the Soul Connection which were really cool! Same weekend, we went to Lonsdale Quay where we saw Luisa Marshall (a Tina Turner impersonator)...James was lucky enough to get to go up and "meet Tina"...
