Never Too Late...

Recently Hedley's "Never Too Late" has been one of my favourite songs, and until last night, did I look up the lyrics.

Here's to all the broken hearts tonight
Here's to all the "fall-a-parts" tonight
Here's to every girl and boy who lost their joy
They let it get away

You know it's never too late
Get up and start all over again
You know it's never too late
There's got to be a better way
Don't settle for the cold and rain
It's not too late to start again
To find a way to smile and never let it get away!

This summer I have learned to start all over again...to find the way to smile and just enjoy the fact that not being a relationship doesn't mean it's the end of the world.

This summer has gone by quite fast...if only summers lasted longer and there were more hours in the day to enjoy the sunshine. To recap this summer of smiling and laughing, here's to the memories of this summer:

- rollerblading from Science World to English Bay and down to Stanley Park...not withstanding the falls, bruises and scrapes...
- staying out til the sun set at night, just sitting on patios for dinner and drinks or enjoying a bowl of ice cream
- watching the fireworks at English Bay and people watching...
- meeting new friends and hanging out with old friends...
- learning to kayak for the first time in Deep Cove, even if I don't know how to swim!
- hiking and doing the Grouse Grind...yes sweating can be quite fun...
- playing California Kickball as if we were back in elementary school again...even if our team did lose...
- and enjoying the California sun in San Francisco, visiting the Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park, Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf, etc...topping it off with a visit to In N Out Burger and Ghiradelli's ice cream sundae!!

Summer's not over yet, but at least I can say that I can try to continue to smile...

No reason not to otherwise :) - especially if you have something to look forward to, or not :)

Plus, those who are important will always have your back, those who aren't weren't really important in the first place.

Glad to know you're smiling again.
