Happy New Year 2008!

It's been a long time since I last posted, but I'd like to wish everybody a Happy New Year 2008!

It's a new year, which means making new years resolutions, some to keep, some to break. I made some tonight, hoping to keep most of them for at least half the year or more...it'll definitely take lots of willpower to try to keep to achieving those goals.

For one, I resolve to go to the gym at least 3 times a week, especially since I just purchased an annual gym membership at the community centre. How long can I keep this up? I read in the newspapers before that gyms tend to have the best luck in selling memberships during New Year's because of everybody who buys memberships yet don't end up using it when they break their resolution. I refuse to be part of that statistic!

Secondly, I resolve to complete my BCIT certificate within a year. I've been stretching the time to finish my certificate but realize I should really just finish. I have 3 courses left, so starting to take courses again in January. This one, I think I should be able to finish before 2009. Hopefully!

For a third resolution, hoping to be more simple...simplicity = less stress = more happy times in life. I think others might feel the same here...after a difficult and stressful year, happiness is something that can only be achieved with simplicity. Simplicity at work, in relationships, with family and friends. Time to make myself more low-key and laid back...this is probably the hardest resolution to keep! I think it comes with being born a Virgo...

So with 2008 now in full gear...what's your new year's resolutions?
